Website Crawler for Keyword Extraction

Discover relevant keywords by analyzing website content

How the Website Crawler Works

Our website crawler analyzes page content to extract the most relevant keywords and topics.

Step 1: Website Crawling

The crawler visits your website and follows links to discover pages. You control how many pages it analyzes (1-20). It respects robots.txt rules and doesn't overload your server.

Step 2: Content Extraction

The crawler extracts text content from each page, focusing on important elements like titles, headings, paragraphs, and meta descriptions.

Step 3: Keyword Analysis

We process the extracted text using NLP techniques to identify meaningful phrases and keywords. Common words (stop words) are filtered out.

Step 4: Keyword Organization

Keywords are grouped by topic and ranked by relevance. You can click any keyword to add it to your variation generation form.

Use Cases

  • Analyze your own website to discover keywords you're already targeting
  • Research competitor websites to find keywords you might be missing
  • Discover long-tail variations by analyzing user-focused content
  • Identify content gaps by comparing extracted keywords with your strategy

The feature is currently in beta and available to all users. Extracted keywords are not stored in our database.

Tips for Effective Website Crawling

Start with the most important pages

Begin with your homepage or main category pages to get broader topics, then crawl specific sections for more focused keywords.

Set the right crawl depth

For small websites, 5-10 pages is usually sufficient. For larger sites, start with a smaller section rather than crawling the entire site.

Analyze competitor websites

Identify 2-3 top competitors and crawl their websites to discover keywords they're targeting that you might have missed.

Combine results from multiple sources

Extract keywords from different websites and combine them to get a comprehensive list of variations for your industry or niche.
